This was when Universal Offsets installed India’s first Mitsubishi Diamond V3000.
Today, Universal has installed its second Mitsubishi, a Diamond 3000 and judging from recent investment, the firm seems to be growing. "We have come very near to achieving the target of doubling our turnover of Rs 23-crore, which we quoted two years ago," said Gupta adding "this investment is to keep up with our continued growth."
Universal along with its sister concern, Universal Print-o-Pack located in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh produces commercial, books and packaging products caters to varied clients of North and is set to clock a turnover of over Rs 53 crore during the current financial year.
Sunil along with Mohit, Gupta’s brothers manage the Baddi plant. Sunil said that there is huge competition but new applications in the market is making the industry more creative. "We have the capabilities of handling different type of print jobs," he said. "We are successful because our objective is excellence and fast turnarounds. Our reputation is built around our press performance."
Going ahead, the Gupta brothers have plans of expanding their business which will include targeting new clients and exports as also setting up a new facility with new equipment in Noida, during the next financial year. "This equipment will broaden our abilities to help our customers and with the new facility and equipment we will strive to be a one-stop solution for our customers," said Gupta.
Universal operates out of a 40,000 sq/ft facility in New Delhi and 7,50,00 sq/ft in Baddi.
