He had been with the business for 11 years, and became CFO in December 2012.
Wayne Johnston, the group’s former deputy chief financial officer and executive general manager, has taken up the position vacated by Smallenbroek. The role will now be based in Melbourne, Australia.
The changes were effective on 1 May.
Separately, the date of the online auction of Paperlinx UK assets being handled by Hilco Industrial has changed. The provisional date is now 20 May for the firm’s assets located at Manchester and Macclesfield, with a June date to be confirmed for the Moulton Park sale in Northampton.
