Southernprint has secured the 100,000 print run for BBC Magazines latest monthly childrens magazine, entitled BBC Toybox Teach Me.
We enjoy a very close and effective working relationship with BBC magazines, which we have enjoyed for many years and look forward to increasing our business with them, said Southernprint managing director Chris Smith.
The 32pp character-based educational magazine for pre-school children will feature all the popular BBC pre-school characters, such as Bob the Builder and the Tweenies, helping to introduce children to language, literacy and maths.
The philosophy behind all our educational magazines is that children learn best when they are having fun, said group publisher Toni Round.
And they will have lots of fun with all their favourite characters in BBC Toybox Teach Me.
The new magazine joins the other BBC1 Learning Together magazines The Magic Key, Number Time and BBC Learning is Fun! which are aimed at the five to seven year age group and cover Key Stage 1 of the national curriculum.
BBC Learning Together magazines include pages specifically designed for parents, which help them to help their children get the most out of each issue.
Southernprint already numbers various BBC magazine titles amongst its print stable, including; Bob the Builder, Blue Peter, Bill & Ben and Live & Kicking among others.
BBC Toybox Teach Me will be launched on 1 October, priced at 1.50.
