NCS Group has formed an alliance with Alwan Colour Expertise covering colour management services.
Alwan, which is headed up by colour guru and ColorSync expert Elie Khoury, has carried out colour management projects worldwide, but was loking for a greater presence in the UK.
NCS had already invested heavily in colour management equipment and staff training. It has a colour management project manager, Geoff Simpson, who will work with Alwan on joint projects.
NCS managing director Roger Stockdale said: "Colour management can offer signifcant benefits, together with very real cost savings. This is a service that is unique to NCS and we intend to make it a core component of our future strategy."
Colour management is a key area for NCS as part of its strategy for asset management.
NCS has just got the keys to its new offices in Leeds, which will be fitted out with a complete digital workflow. It is putting colour management into practice at the new site, which will include a digital photography studio, Dalim server and Scitex Lotem 400 platesetter.
