Alwan Color Expertise managing director Elie Khoury said the need to produce colour management and control products was being driven by corporate purchasers.
He said the growing print knowledge of corporates was leading their desire to ensure designers and printers produced a trouble-free end product.
The three products being shown by Newcastle-based NCS at Ipex are Monitor Expert Calibrator (MEC) 3.0, Printhouse Colour manager (PCM), and Certified PDF workflow.
MEC allows users to see the true colours of files and check that their light sources are compliant with ISO standards for graphic arts.
PCM is a new package aimed at litho and gravure printers that is designed to ensure that the entire workflow from screen to plate is set to ISO standards. PCM includes technical training on colour management and control.
Certified PDF workflow allows a group of companies involved in the design of a product to produce an ISO-compliant PDF-X workflow, enabling each company in the design chain to perform colour separation and proofing and remove any source of error prior to printing or proofing.
"One of the messages we will be sending out at Ipex is the implementation of International Colour Consortium (ICC) colour management profiles, and their effect in improving quality, productivity and removing sources of error," said Khoury.
