National first for India's NaiDunia group

Newspaper group NaiDunia has installed India's first FFEI Alinte News violet CTP system.

The system, which was supplied by Malhotra Graphics in Mumbai, works at speeds of 125 plates per hour, with a maximum plate size of 635x930mm.

NaiDunia CEO Vinay Chhajlani said: "We have been growing at a steady pace and we give credit to our readers for letting us achieve the status which we have today.

"We want to upgrade the quality of our multicolour newspaper. FFEI CTP has not only enhanced the quality but also saved us time."

He added: "We produce 300 plates daily. Time was a critical factor for us and we also wanted a sturdy and quality delivering system. Alinte News has all the features which we wanted."

NaiDunia, which was established by freedom fighters in 1947, is one of the oldest and most reputed producer of Hindi dailies.
