Nampak Healthcare boosts turnover by 35% following 4m press installation

Nampak Healthcare has boosted its turnover by 35% to 19m following the 4m installation of a Komori S40 press and a Heidelberg Diana Pro 114 folder gluer earlier in the year.

Gerard Harford, Nampak Healthcare regional director UK, said the Komori had increased capacity up to 15,000 sheets an hour in six colours and, following its installation in April, some 30 staff have also been taken on.

Formerly named Storey Evans, the Bradford-based company prints cartons and patient information leaflets and was acquired by the Nampak Group in December last year.

Harford said that becoming part of the global Nampak Group had brought the firm a number of significant benefits, including the extra work that led to an increase in turnover.

"It has enabled investment in state-of-the-art technology, putting us at the very forefront of our marketplace and enabling us to deliver the highest quality products to our customers," he added.

Nampak Healthcare's Bradford site is now the largest in the company's Healthcare Division, employing 210 people.
