The star was its new Collibri back-gluing machine for spine gluing and pressing. A highly automated unit, the Collibri can handle "all types of book block", according to Muller, and with the aid of a control panel the operator can change between sizes "in less than a minute".
Muller demonstrated the entire book production process in seven main steps, starting with the ZTM 1573 gatherer. The signatures were then put through the Connect stacker and into the Ventura sewing machine. From there they went through the Collibri and onto the TPM spine drying and pressing machine.
Finally books were dried, cooled, buffed and trimmed before making their way to the Diamant bookline for rounding and backing. A subsequent glue station applied the gauze and headband.
Muller switched between A5 and A6 case bound book production during the demonstration to show off the quick changeover.
