The company, which specialises in printing academic books and journals, has invested in a second MBO T1120/442 for its Bodmin site, following its acquisition of Kings Lynn-based Biddles last month.
General manager Dave Brenton said: "With our continuing dedication to large-format we needed another folder to cope with throughput in this area.
"This has increased our ability to meet customer demands through the whole book production cycle."
MPG's purchase marks another investment with Friedheim, as the company has already installed several MBO folders, Schneider guillotines and associated equipment at the Bodmin site.
The company employs 141 full-time staff and currently runs 24 hours, five days a week, handling runs of up to 50,000 copies.
