The Gosport-based company has ordered an MBO T1120 Perfection buckle-folding machine. A KBA large-format press is being delivered in the coming months and the new folder will be connected to the back.
Ashford Colour Press production director Allan Gray said: "We needed a machine that was capable of handling the output from a KBA large-format press, and having looked at what was available on the market, the MBO T1120 folder with its high level of automation proved to be the best machine for the type of large-format work we intend to produce."
Ashford's new machine, which runs at 160m/min, covers the larger size paper, 112x165cm. It is equipped with high-grade components, including sheet alignment and machine control. The machine runs at 160m/min.

Commercial printer Ashford Colour Press has finalised its move into large-format printing with a new folding machine from Friedheim International.
