Mosca expands UK site to cope with growing business

Strapping machinery manufacturer Mosca Direct has expanded its UK facility in order to cope with recent "substantial" growth.

The expansion will include offices and a new "improved" workshop. There will also be a new meeting room and an expanded customer services department and lobby.

Mosca Direct's UK customer base has continued to rise in the last eight years, leading its workforce to change in the same way, the company said.

Managing director Peter Foster said: "We have more service engineers, warehouse staff and customer service representatives today than when we started, and space was beginning to be at a premium.

"Customised strapping solutions are one of Mosca's strengths, and the improvements made to the workshop allow us to offer a greater range of options to UK customers."

The company, which is a subsidiary of German manufacturer Mosca, has been based in Cotgrave, Nottingham, since it was founded in 2000.

Mosca Direct services the newspaper, corrugated and forestry industries, among others.

Foster added: "Mosca had an exceptional 2007, especially in the light of difficult trading conditions, which demonstrates customer faith in the quality of our equipment."
