Mosca announces Ipex plans

Strapping specialist Mosca has announced its line-up for this year's Ipex.

Taking centre stage will be the company’s ultrasonic technology, Sonixs, although bundle strappers and pallet presses will also be on show.

According to Mosca, Sonixs offers "considerable" speed and sealing advantages over conventional strapping methods, with straps being able to withstand greater stresses during transportation, enabling the use of lower cost, narrower or thinner strap material.

Managing director Peter Foster said: "We’re excited that visitors to Ipex will be able to see Mosca Sonixs technology at first hand. Reliable end-of-line strapping is a must to ensure the smooth delivery of products from the pressroom."

Top of the company's list is the ultrasonic technology, Sonixs, although bundle strappers and pallet presses will also be on the stand.

For pallets, Mosca will run a KCK-131 press, incorporating an integrated lift turn cross to enable four-way strapping. The machine runs at 120 pallets per hour for two parallel straps, or 60 pallets per hour for four-way cross-strapping.

The recently launched Romp-k high-speed stand-alone automatic strapping machine will also be on the stand.
