"These are nearly always separate machines," said sales manager John Clason. "This can do the whole thing in one pass."
The sub-25,000 DocuMaster incorporates an enhanced version of the firm's AutoCreaser, which uses a blade and matrix method to crease sheets up to 630x330mm. The 3,640sph line is capable of nine creases per sheet, using stocks up to 350gsm.
To produce booklets, the operator simply chooses the sheet sizes and trim size of the booklet via the DocuMaster's control panel and then enters the number of sheets in the book, selecting those to be folded.
The first two DocuMasters, premiered at Northprint, have been sold to two unnamed UK firms.
l UK manufacturer Morgana has said that April was a record month for export orders.
The firm had over 1m of sales, driven by its popular Digifold, which boasted 50 sales in April alone. Leading the figures was the US, which was followed by Germany and France.
