The purchase of the inplant, for an undisclosed sum, comes with a "multi-million pound" print contract to produce business cards, stationery, promotional work and policyholder brochures.
"The purchase of this inplant will enable us to work more in the financial sector," said group managing director Tommy Montgomery. The firm hopes this will help it meet its first-year sales target of 3m.
As part of the deal, Montgomery transferred 41 NU staff to a new 2,400sqm site in Perth and installed two new Printmasters - a PM 74 four-colour Ecocolor alcohol-free press and a five-colour PM 52.
As part of the buy the firm is also set to install a six-station plus cover feeder Heidelberg Stitchmaster ST 400 next month, and is looking at a thermal platesetter.
