Dartford-based Molyneux opted for the Meteor machine to produce high quality print for a range of blue-chip clients.
Paul Lines, sales director at Molyneux Press, said the company was previously turning away work that wasn't viable to run on its litho presses.
"With some runs only requiring to 100 or 200 copies the work was just not viable on our litho presses. We knew the demand was there," he said.
The company decided on the MGi machine after assessing it against HP Indigo and Canon presses at last year's Drupa show.
He said: "After the show we went to MGi in Paris and took some files we had run on our press with copies of the jobs. You honestly could not tell the difference between the Meteor’s output and ours."
Employing eight staff and with a £750,000 turnover, Molyneux can also produce a range of niche jobs on the new machine, according to Lines.
"We liked the fact it can print on different substrates because that means we can use specialist grades which enables us to produce the more niche jobs," he said."
The Meteor DP60pro can print on papers from 70 to 350gsm including glossy papers, as well as plastics from 100 to 400 microns including PVC, vinyl and PET.
