The manufacturer will showcase the press, capable of printing on both paper and plastic stocks, alongside its new off-line inkjet spot UV coater, the JetVarnish.
The Meteor DP 60 Pro is designed for high-volume printing and has the capability to produce up to 3,900 A4 size sheets, 1,600 330x487mm sheets, and up to 32,000 ISO CR-80 PVC plastic cards an hour.
The press can accommodate stock sizes up to 330x487mm, with a maximum print area of 320x480mm.
The Meteor can handle a range of substrates, from 70-350gsm, CS1 & CS2, textured papers, envelopes, labels and stickers. It can also print on plastics from 100-400µ thickness including PVC, polycarbonate, polyester and vinyl.
MGI also plans to give a worldwide premiere to its JetVarnish Inkjet Spot UV Coater.
The off-line machine is being pitched as a complement to offset printed substrates, designed to ensure precise coverage on ISO applications up to B3+ format.
In addition, the manufacturer will show its Meteor DP 40 Pro four-colour multi-substrate digital press, UVarnish UV coater, PressCard Pro hot platen lamination unit, and PunchCard Pro credit card format die-cutter.
MGI will be exhibiting in Drupa's Hall 8b.
