"Together we've created the most advanced JDF environment printers can see in the country," said MLP UK managing director Thomas Doliwa.
The firm used the Mitsubishi Performance Days event at its Leeds base to show live demonstrations of plates being produced by a Screen PlateRite 8600, which were then printed on a Mitsubishi Diamond 3000 10-colour five-back-five B1 perfector, which was set to be shipped to a French customer shortly after the event. The whole operation was controlled by Tharstern MIS.
The event was also used to show products from post-press partners Encore and GAE, which along with pre-press partners Screen and Tharstern's MIS will become a fixture of MLP's Leeds showroom.
MLP has also unveiled a range of service promises to customers, which included office hours phone calls to be responded to within an hour, spare parts ordered before 3.30pm to be delivered on the same day, and advice and assistance to be on hand 24/7.
