The company has appointed former Jarrold Printing managing director William Mills as non-executive director. Mills is also non-executive director of print management company HH Associates.
Mills told PrintWeek: I hold [Parkside] chief executive Geoffrey Stewart in the highest regard. He has an unparalleled knowledge of the flexible packaging industry.
Parkside has also appointed Paul Below as group finance director to replace Chris Jessop, who has been made group commercial director. Below was formerly a financial consultant and has held positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Parkside has also ordered another Windmller & Hlscher press for its factory in Poland, for installation next March. The company installed an eight-colour Windmller & Hlscher Novoflex press, capable of production speeds of 600m a minute, at its Darton plant earlier this year.
Stewart said the company was rivalling gravure with the quality of its flexo work.
Parkside hasnt yet completed the closure of its factory in Stoke, which it announced earlier this year (PrintWeek, 3 July). It also has a factory in Normanton.
