Established in 1996, Metamation India is part of the Proteck Circuits & Systems group – which is a leader in the sheet metal CAD/CAM software for the manufacturing industry.
"We branched out with the graphic art division a few ago, considering the demand for quality software solutions," said Kartik Iyer of Proteck.
"IMP is a fully automatic, intelligent planning and PDF imposition software, which is JDF certified and can also seamlessly integrate with pre-press systems," said Iyer
Some of the customers using the software include Pragati, Pattabhi Enterprises and MWN.
Explaining on its usage at a client’s place, Iyer added: "At Pragati they plan imposition in planning department and send the JDF, which is compatible with their Esko workflow (RIP) for plate production. The benefits are the ability to plan across their presses (of various sizes and configurations) and determine the most cost optimal solution to run a print job or selected group of jobs."
