Mercury Envelopes agrees 180,000 university contract renewal

Mercury Envelopes, a subsidiary of Mercury Print and Packaging, has signed a 180,000 renewal of its printing contract with the University of Leeds.

The envelope manufacturer, which is based in the city, will produce around 800,000 items per year, all bearing the university's logo. The contract will run for two years.

Mike Grayson, managing director of Mercury Envelopes, said: "This complements other contracts we have with universities and councils."

The company, which was established in 1992, will use a range of kit to produce the items, including a Heidelberg GTO.

Mercury Envelopes recently moved to a 2300sqm refurbished factory at the end of the M621 motorway in Leeds.
