St Ives has recruited former Waddies production director Jim McKie as general manager/director of its Multimedia site in Blackburn.
He replaces Dave Mackintosh, who joined AGI Media Packagings Swindon multimedia plant as managing director at the start of this month (PrintWeek, 12 April).
McKie, 45, said he was looking forward to the challenge. The site employs 85 staff and was established four years ago in partnership with Universal to provide its compact disc replication factory with just-in-time printed packaging.
It has four Komori Lithrones and finishing equipment, and will install a 700,000 CTP system in six weeks.
Waddies operations manager Mick Riley will take control of the firms production after McKies departure.
