It will have two folder systems, one providing a 1:2:3:2 option and the other 2:3:3, and will be able to produce 60,000 copies an hour when both of its 16pp webs are running into the 2:3:3 folder.
It will be able to print 32pp sections, or two different 16pp products simultaneously with the two webs running separately into different folders.
MAN Roland beat Komori to the order. PCPs current press line-up includes Wifag and Goss webs, plus a 16pp Komori System 38.
The new press will have a 620mm cut-off and Megtec will supply its dryers and reelstands. It will be fitted with a full PECOM press management system, including CIP3 interface, to keep downtime to a minimum.
MAN Roland GB web director Norman Revill said the extra units on each web made PCPs Rotoman innovative.
They looked at the market and found that special colours and varnishes are being used more and more so theres a niche market for them, he added.

PCP is part of Midland News Association (MNA). It has increased its presence in the commercial sector in recent years as MNA has invested in colour printing towers at its three dedicated printing plants. The commercial sector now accounts for more than 70% of PCPs sales. Last year it was 141st in the PrintWeek Top 500 with sales of 15.8m.
There has been a flurry of activity in the web offset market recently, with Komori supplying a 16pp press to York Mailings Centre Web site and Heidelberg winning two deals, both for 16pp M600s, with Eclipse Colour Print and The Print Factory (PrintWeek, 2 October).
