Litho Supplies has bolstered its relationships with Xerox and Screen by signing agreements to launch three direct imaging presses into the UK.
The firm will supply the Xerox DocuColor 400 DI four-and five-colour digital offset press, as well as Xeroxs DocuColor 233 two-up four-colour press. Litho Supplies is also the UK distributor of Screens TruePress 544.
Litho Supplies joint managing director Gerry Mulvaney said: We see the TruePress and the Xerox machines fitting into different customer bases. We believe therell be a certain amount of crossover, with customers migrating between two complementary ranges.
Xerox UK sales director Anoush Gordon said: They have the relationships and we have the technology, its a good combination for success.
The 400 DI can produce 12,000 38x52cm sheets per hour and boasts a makeready time of 9.5 minutes. It features Presstek ProFire imaging, internal plate cylinders with PEARLdry Plus waterless plates, housed in the body of an ADAST press.
Litho Supplies has also announced a package of B2 CTP equipment, which includes the Screen FlatRite 1050 platesetter, Agfa LP 82 Ultra plate processor and LithoStar LAP-R plates for below 70,000.
Litho Supplies director of electronic systems Steve Dodds said: With this package we are selling CTP to printers who have a plate demand of just 500 plates a month.
