The Customer Academy training programme is a one-day course, described as "competitively priced", and designed to outline how printers can "profit from digital" through the sales opportunities created by personalised print and print-on-demand services.
The course places an emphasis on sales and marketing rather than technical training and primarily takes place at the company's Milton Keynes site.
It consists of three modules entitled 'The opportunity and who to target'; 'Sales and consultancy skills' and 'Gaining ongoing commitment'.
Jos Kelly, director of strategic business development, production and solutions for Konica Minolta UK, said: "Manufacturing the best devices, but leaving the customer to work out how to get the best return from their investment, is not enough anymore."
Kelly added the programme was a direct response to feedback from customers "not yet expert in selling digital output" due to a previous focus on offset.
