Eric-Yves Mahe has joined the business as senior vice president and director of sales strategy and operations.

Mahe was previously president of global growth markets at Pitney Bowes, where under his direction the Singapore-based operation went from start-up to star performer in just two years.

Prior to that his career in international management involved roles at Computer Associates, Sun Microsystems and Xerox.

His remit at Kodak spans the sales strategy across Kodak’s product and services portfolio, and he is also tasked with advising the senior management team in a number of areas including OEM partnerships.

Kodak chief executive Jeff Clarke praised Mahe for his business know-how and international experience. “Eric has an outstanding track record of building successful teams, leveraging direct and indirect sales models, delivering strong business results and winning market share,” he said.

Kodak has also announced that it will add a new plate line at its Columbus facility in Georgia in the USA to manufacture its Sonora processless plates.

Separately, the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle also reported that an Iranian software pirate has been arrested by the FBI for selling pirated versions of Prinergy Evo workflow software, via the website www.kodakprinergy.com. Navid Salehvaziri was arrested when he arrived in the US from Tehran, and faces up to 20 years in jail and/or a $250,000 (£149,000) fine according to the report.

The website selling the illegitimate software, which in part mimics the layout of Kodak’s official site, was still live at the time of writing.
