Following the recent commissioning of a new £2m coating line, the Cornwall-based business has further bolstered its range of more than 2,000 products for the self-adhesive labelstock market.
Kernow group sales manager Paul Dimery said: “As well as our standard self-adhesive product range, the variety of products available is limitless because we can create our own coatings.
“For example, we can colour match to any Pantone colour, and mix and match adhesives and release liners.”
The company has also recently introduced WallShark, a self-adhesive film for wallcoverings. This 170µm PVC-free film was developed from the floor graphics film FloorShark and uses the same technology that means the ink will be scratch-resistant after drying.
The adhesive was designed for internal smooth walls, with an emphasis on good adhesion and suitability on most wall paints and lacquers. WallShark is available in 1.4m and 1.5m widths.
Another recent launch was KernowJet KlearWipe, a clear PVC-free lamination film for dry-erase applications with a thickness of 75µm and stiffness designed for easy application. It is also designed to be durable and scratch resistant, making it easy to handle.
KlearWipe is highly transparent and with a special permanent adhesive. It will laminate over many types of print, including UV-cured inks, and is available in widths up to 1.52m.
This film has been tested with a wide range of water-based, solvent and acetone-based markers and the material is compliant with the EN Standards: EN71-3, which is necessary for the safety of toys, making it suitable for children's furniture and toys.
