The device recirculates hot air, reducing power consumption and the volume of exhaust air from the system.
Compared with a typical infrared/hot-air dryer, KBA claimed its system could save companies more than 50% in power consumption, therefore halving electricity costs.
It said that with drying power consumption accounting for around 40% of overall power consumption of a press, this could have a significant impact on electricity costs.
The dryer will be on show at this year's Ipex between 18 and 25 May.
KBA claims new dryers halve power consumption
KBA has announced a new VariDry Blue infrared/hot air dryer for its range of large-format Rapida presses.
