According to managing director Richard Adler, the programmable card creaser "has paid for itself within the first month".
The firm had been considering investing in a card creaser for some time, and it was installed in time for the company to pre-crease all its Christmas cards.
Adler said he had looked at other equipment, but wanted something that could pre-score brochures and covers prior to bookletmaking, an operation previously carried out by hand.
The Crease Matic, which was supplied by Ashgate Automation, can be programmed to apply up to four creases per sheet on card from A5 to SRA3, and can store five creasing jobs in its memory.
