Joyce has previously held the role of chief marketing officer in Kodak's Graphic Communications Group and also serves as the Vice President of Eastman Kodak Company.
He said that the group aims to serve a range of clients including offset printers moving into digital, to existing digital businesses.
Joyce added: "During these challenging economic times, we focus more than ever on innovating digital print technology to help commercial printers, data centres, direct mail printers and book publishers drive new applications, expand into new markets and create new revenue opportunities."
The Digital Printing Solutions group encompasses Kodak's NexPress and DigiMaster production machines. Earlier this month Kodak struck a deal with Ricoh to distribute its mono and colour machines in the EU.

Kodak has appointed Kevin Joyce to the role of worldwide vice president of sales and marketing for the company's new Digital Printing Solutions group.
