The Manchester-based operation found a need to invest in the new platesetter following a hike in printing capacity after installing its Komori 529 B2 press.
Along with the platesetter, the £2m-plus turnover firm invested in a Trueflow V4 workflow, Epson 7800 proofing system and Labproof software, a spend which has boosted productivity at the company.
The Jarvis Print Group reprographics manager Andy Bennett said work that would previously take two-hours now takes just 15 minutes.
He told printweek.com that "if you have a faster printer then you need a faster platesetter" and the PlateRite system has proved to be "a slick operation".
Bennett added that the new setup will help the 20-staff printer "move up the ladder" and increase its competitiveness in four-colour work such as brochures and leaflets.
The platesetter also features Screen's automatic plate loader and stacker unit, which allows the platesetter to run up to 50 plates unmanned and into the night.
"Being able to run a job after hours is a useful way of meeting our targets," added Bennett.
The PlateRite 4300E platesetter can image up to 11 plates per hour at 2400dpi and will join kit including a five-colour Heidelberg Speedmaster 72 FP and a two-colour Heidelberg Printmaster SRA3
