The Norwich-based printer will produce an initial print run for the new title of 500,000, but a spokeswoman for Emap said this would reduce after the initial issue to settle at 300,000.
The repro contract for Closer has been awarded to Londons Colour Systems.
The 100pp magazine, which will cost 1, aims to target women from 20 to 60 years of age, and has promised to "take readers closer to the people making news" with a mix of real life and celebrity stories.
The title is being launched to go head-to-head with IPCs celebrity weekly Now, and it is hoped the publication will follow the success of fellow Emap title Heat.
-Jarrolds has produced the 80th anniversary issue of Good Housekeeping magazine at its Norwich plant.
Good Housekeeping, which is published by the National Magazine Company, has a circulation of 393,000.
Jarrold Printing managing director Charles Jarrold said: "Everyone at Jarrold is extremely proud that we have been the sole printer of Good Housekeeping for the 25 years."
