The firm’s J-Cube RF and KF series, for sublimation-transfer printing, were launched at Fespa 2013 and are this year joined by the new direct-to-fabric versions; J-Cube PK, for Kyocera heads, and J-Cube PR, for Ricoh heads.
The inks, which have been manufactured with J-Teck’s Cluster technology, are a reaction to the demand for high quality inks for industrial applications on digital printers.
Business operation manager Rosaria Pozzoni said: “We’ve had a very good reaction so far to the direct-to-fabric versions of the inks, which we are officially launching at Fespa. They were deeply tested in our laboratories and perform very well on Ricoh and Kyocera heads."
The firm is also showcasing J-MelaMine at Fespa, a waterbased ink for large format industrial printers equipped with Kyocera heads. It first launched at last month’s InPrint show in Hannover.
The ink prints on melamine papers which are made of thin paper layers saturated with different resins. After printing through a digital printer, they are used to produce panels and laminates and have a strong resistance to scratch and solvents.
Melamine panels and laminates are largely for use in the furniture and home decoration industry.
The ink, which is available in CMYK, offers strong light resistance and good colour saturation which can produce graphics with vivid and bright colours.
"We’ve tested it with Kyocera heads but plan to test it on Ricoh and Seiko heads in the future and may also introduce other colours if the demand is there," said Pozzoni.
J-Teck3 employs 50 staff and has a turnover of €20m. It is exhibiting in Hall A1, Stand 220 at Fespa.
