The Coventry-based company has bought a new BB300 envelope inserting system, less than 12 months after installing its first BB300.
According to commercial director Jason Langford-Brown, the initial machine was bought by the £10m-turnover company to service a contract, however, the machine won a lot of additional work and further investment was needed.
Inkfish uses the machines to handle complex insertion jobs, including multi-part mailers and intelligent documentation.
The BB300 comes with 24 feeders, allowing it to process 10,000 envelopes per hour.
Langford-Brown said: "One particular job that we had in required over nine selective inserts. Buhrs helped to crack the problem of how to go about it, including adding all kind of complex applications like cameras."
Between the two machines, Inkfish, which employs 125 staff, has seen its productivity increase by around 50%.
Inkfish provides document management services to industries including the insurance market, retail and financial services. It has doubled its turnover in the last three years from £5m.
