The second-hand refurbished machine cost Paramount £20,000 and replaces a Neopost SI-92 at the Edinburgh plant.
Sales and marketing manager Dario Valente said: "We have a unique position in Scotland with the country’s only full-colour envelope press, litho and digital flat-sheet machines, state-of-the-art data personalisation software, envelope ink-jetting capabilities and an in-house bindery team – all in one site. The purchase of the Buhrs BB300 is the final piece of the jigsaw."
On the back of the investment, Paramount is in talks with a number of large companies previously "out of reach".
Valente added: "We’ve always been their envelope printer but can now offer a complete mailing service – generally they’ll print inserts and we’ll handle the rest: envelope printing, fulfilment and mailing."
Established in 1964, the company currently employs 11 staff and has a turnover of £1.1m.
