Production speed has been boosted by 16%, taking it to 700sqm per hour – enough to produce 145 sheets at the maximum format of 3.2x1.5m.
Enhancements to the UV curing system have enabled the company to expand the range of substrates that can be processed and the ink finishes produced.
Increased efficiency has reduced electrical power consumption for a given UV output by 30%. The lower power has also reduced the heat generated by curing, allowing heat-sensitive materials to be printed.
In addition, the new curing system, taking technology from the smaller Onset S20, has expanded the range of finishes to encompass a wider range of gloss levels in addition to the standard satin and semi-gloss.
The new options will be available for existing users and on new machines.
