The "compact board-to-board" kit runs at 3,000 sheets per hour and handles cartonboard and corrugated materials up to 1,600x 1,200mm in size.
"The gear is aimed at print finishers and the display industry and has a UV registration accuracy of plus or minus 0.5mm," said Colin Baillie, director of IMC UK.
Most other Far Eastern kit was not as accurate and IMC's new machine was comparable to European laminators, he added.
"Pin-sharp accuracy is not a big deal in the display industry if you're only making boxes," he said. "But if you are laminating board both sides you need something special."
The fully automatic kit has a hopper feeder and handles weights of up to 550gsm. The laminator will cost in the region of 100,000.
IMC UK sells a raft of equipment, such as Max 2 folding carton gluers, fully automatic hand platens and die cutters.
