The Yorkshire business took delivery of the digital press in late June in order to help cut the time to market for its on-demand print.
The machine has been installed at ImageData's Howden site in East Yorkshire. Opened in 2008, the £6m purpose-built 6,225sqm facility also houses a variety of equipment, including an Inca Onset UV flatbed printer and other HP Indigo digital presses
David Danforth, chief executive at 60-staff ImageData Group, said the decision to opt for the seven-colour Indigo was a result of it offering high productivity, flexibility and spot colour capabilities.
"All of these features are important to our business, but being able to produce more pages per minute can ensure we meet shorter deadlines," he added.
The HP Indigo 7000 can print up to 120 A4 pages per minute in colour mode, or 240 A4 pages in mono operation.
"ImageData Group has experienced fantastic growth and success in recent years and, in order to continue to provide high-quality digital print and meet an increasing demand for our products and services, we decided to move to a larger production facility and equip it with the latest digital printing technology," said Danforth.
