Targetcolour, which is the exclusive distributor and partner for ICS in the UK, said that Quebecor World's decision to use Remote Director across its North American pre-media and print facilities was "proof" that the soft-proofing technology could work for printers.
Coady said: "The fact that one of the world's leading full-service print providers for publishers has embraced virtual proofing technology proves that soft proofing is working for printers.
"We hope that printers in the UK gain confidence to follow in Quebecor World’s footsteps and join them to benefit from increased production efficiency while reducing costs."
Quebecor World employs approximately 20,000 people and has 90 printing and print-related facilities in the US, Canada, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, Mexico and Peru.
