Ice3 creates cube campaign

Philips has launched a major marketing campaign by mailing pop-up cubes produced by cardboard engineering specialists Ice3.

The Winchester-based firm linked up with Sussex company Wisden Packaging to produce 125,000 packs, which were shipped to Amsterdam.

"It was a compressed production schedule with around six weeks to turn the job around," said Ice3 sales director David Small. The cubes were printed with the message "sense and simplicity technology should be as simple as the box it comes in". The message was translated into 13 languages including Japanese, Korean and Chinese while each pack contained a personalised letter.

Last month Ice3 completed work on a 12,000-mailer job for Hoover (PrintWeek, 16 September). Ice3 has actively target-ed around 2,400 firms and frequently mails out examples of its work. Ice3 also has a design division called IceArt.
