Supplied by reseller Papergraphics, the R1000 was installed at the Denbigh, north Wales business in June.
The eight channel 1.64m-wide entry-level Latex R1000 was revamped last year. The 2020 edition offers 1,200dpi and has a top speed of 56sqm/hr in three-pass outdoor mode. It can handle media up to 50.8mm thick and 1.6x1.2m as standard.
According to owner Will Humphreys, the green credentials of the R1000 and its water-based Latex inks, which have UL ECOLOGO sustainability certification, were key factors in the purchase.
“We loved the fact that the HP Latex R1000 uses more eco-friendly inks. Not only that, it’s also faster than many other printers, can print a gloss or matte finish and even has the ability to print white ink.
“We are working to be more eco-friendly and producing more sustainable signage using recyclable media; the HP Latex R1000 printer was the obvious choice when we were looking to add a flatbed option to our production line-up.”
