At Print 09 the company announced partnerships with Gerber and EFI Rastek to enable their printers to print direct to lens output from its Producer 3D technology.
The firms join existing partners Caldera, HP, Fujifilm Sericol and Océ. HumanEyes also announced a tie-up with Mimaki using its JFX 1631 flatbed but that deal is restricted to North America.
"We expect to leverage our relations with the manufacturers to reach our target market in the most cost-effective way," said HumanEyes product marketing manager Sarah Mamou. "Our goal is to strengthen our leading position in the end-to-end workflow solutions for lenticular printing market, as well as keep developing the technology to enable our customers with new capabilities and easier workflows."
Mamou added that the move towards 3D technology for film and TV was providing a boost to its use of print.
"Companies are also using lenticular to leverage and promote their movies by creating all kind of collectible and non-collectible 'derived products' like lenticular rulers, DVD covers, notebooks covers etc...and even great designs for movies billboards."
Sony Pictures' latest 3D release Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs used HumanEyes spin off venture Snapily to offer free 3D postcards as a promo.
HumanEyes launched Snapily, a consumer imaging firm offering lenticular greetings cards, photos and notebook covers, in the US at the start of this year.
