HP reveals details of reorganisation

HP has outlined the set-up of its new Graphics Solutions Business (GSB) following a previous announcement that the company was to consolidate its Imaging and Printing group.

Vyomesh Joshi, executive vice president of HP's Imaging and Printing group, revealed in June that the company was reorganising by cutting the division from five groups down to three, in a bid to enable revenue growth and reduce costs.

The Graphics Solutions Business division will encompass design, sign and display, Indigo digital presses, speciality printing systems and Inkjet High-speed Production Solutions (IHPS), as well as light production solutions.

The business will be led globally by senior vice president Michael Hoffmann, while the division will be overseen in the EMEA region by Ernest Sales in the role of vice president and general manager.

He was most recently software sales manager for HP's Technology Solutions Group and has 23 years experience with the company.

Sales will be backed by Francois Martin in the position of EMEA marketing director, Marc Schillemans as vice president and general manager of HP Indigo EMEA, Wayne Davey as business director of Sign and Display for EMEA and Merce, who has been appointed as EMEA design business director.

HP's Imaging and Printing group is now completed by two other divisions – Inkjet and Web Solutions and Laserjet and Enterprise Solutions.

Inkjet and Web Solutions will focus on consumers and small businesses. Laserjet and Enterprise Solutions will aid HP's Enterprise customers in optimising their printing and imaging infrastructure and improving workflow.
