Previously, users could only print one roll at a time regardless of width. However, the dual roll kit allows two narrow rolls to be printed simultaneously.
According to HP, beta testers have achieved the same output levels with two 1.2m (48-inch) prints with the Dual Roll Kit as with one 2.6m (104-inch) print.
The manufacturer claimed that the accessory can accommodate stock rolls of a variety of widths and lengths.
Yariv Avisar, vice president and general manager, of Scitex large-format solutions at HP, said the addition of the dual roll kit would be another string to the company's bow.
"HP is committed to providing our customers with technologies and solutions that help them increase application offerings and operational efficiencies," he added.
