"The decision to go for FSC accreditation came in response to a request from a number of our clients in addition to our own desire to minimise our impact on the environment," said Howard Hunt marketing director Lucy Edwards.
The move by the Dartford-based print firm builds in its existing environmental credentials, which include gaining ISO 14001 accreditation last year.
Edwards added that the company would now push for PAS 75 accreditation. Developed jointly by the BSi and the BPIF, PAS 75 is a specification for print production and services.
She said: "We have invested a lot of time, money and energy in improving our customer service and have increased our scores by 10% in our annual client care survey this year. PAS 75 is our next target."
