The platform last week launched exclusive merch for pop singer Benson Boone, whose new merch collection has been created by the artist and enabled by Creator Studio, releasing amid the singer’s global tour for his recently released EP, Pulse.
The collaboration comprises hoodies, sweatshirts, and t-shirts for both women and men, featuring a range of Boone’s own designs in various colours.
Dinesh Nayar, managing director of Creator Studio, said: “We are really excited to work with Warner Records and Benson Boone. The rapport he has with his fans is something that really resonates with what Creator Studio believes in, and offering him new ways to connect with them is something both he and we are incredibly excited about.
“Merchandise is such an important part of music and fan culture, and we are so happy we can help Benson create this line of eco-conscious merch.”
Boone added that making the merch on-demand means niche designs can be produced with very little lead time on the manufacturing, “which allows me to be really creative in the items we release”.
“Sustainability is something that is really important to me, so reducing unnecessary by-product by using print-on-demand was an absolute no-brainer,” he added.
Creator Studio’s dedicated clothing range, True Blanks, provides the base garments onto which designs are printed. True Blanks garments are made with 100% organic cotton or recycled polyester.
No items are printed until an end-user purchase has been made, and there are no minimum orders. Printing hubs and suppliers are “strategically located across the globe” and carefully selected to deliver high-quality garments in a more sustainable way.
A spokesperson told Printweek that H&M doesn’t have an ‘open’ UK hub, per se, but has a partner in the Netherlands that has a UK hub ready to be opened as soon as it has enough demand.
