The B3 company, which already has an eight-colour Heidelberg Speedmaster 52, chose the machine because of the number of crease jobs it can handle.
Managing director Philip Dodd said: "The PitStop is so quick and easy to set up that we can crease and fold a job in next to no time. We also run it as a stand alone folder and it works beautifully."
Ipswich-based Healeys was introduced to the MB machinery when it acquired local business Red Ink, which already had an on-line small-format SRA3 MB35 installed.
However, this machine could only fold up to 250gsm, and most of Healeys' work was around 350gsm.
Healeys went back to Encore, which recommended the heavy duty four-plate B3 format MB38 folder. Working on-line with the PitStop, Healeys is now able to crease and fold 8,000sph.
The company's on-line system is supplied with a 900mm-long register table and, using the optional feed extension on the PitStop, it is possible to crease and fold a six-page A4 landscape sheet.
Dodd said: "Our strategy for 2008 is to increase the number of gallery cards we print and finish, and to focus on web ordering. We expect the folder to have paid for itself within two years.
"The upgrade to the MB38 folder was an excellent investment because there is a huge difference between its performance and the MB35."
