The man behind the Tech-ni-Fold Tri-Creaser, Graham Harris, has confirmed that he plans to launch an inline-creasing device for web presses at Ipex.
The unit, which has been developed in conjunction with an unnamed web printer, will probably be called the Web-Enhancer and attaches prior to the press inline folding unit.
Harris said: "The tests have been going very well. By using the device they were able to keep two jobs that would have gone to sheetfed."
He added that 20 Web- Enhancer units would be manufactured initially for the UK market.
Wifac, the equipment supplier based in Holland, has sold 40 of Tech-ni-Folds Tri-Creasers in two weeks.
