Hague Print has recently recruited three new staff and aims to take on up to 10 more employees in the next year, said director Nathan Wain.
Rebecca Angel joined as business development executive, Imogen Cheese as regional account manager and Sian Williams as administrator.
This follows last September's move to a new Cardiff office in order to increase business in Wales and the South West.
Hague Print offers conventional print management and specialises in brand protection, certificates, holograms, software and data outsourcing.
The 46-staff company makes a turnover of £13m and is looking to increase business 7% this year and to double in size within five years, said Wain.
Hague is based in Normanton, West Yorkshire, with a 2,415sqm warehouse, and also has centres in Manchester and Reading, as well as Cardiff.
“We have a solid platform on which to grow,” said Wain. “We are looking at acquisitions, which could be another print broker or entity to complement our current services.”
Hague Print followed up its move to Cardiff by opening a base in East Africa to allow it to develop its security print offering throughout Uganda and surrounding areas.
Business development manager John Walker will establish and manage the new base. Hague has worked in Africa for several years and has a bureau in Dar es Salaam in Tanzania.
Around 80% of all cheques in Tanzania originate from Hague’s UK base. Cheque personalisation is run through bureaus, with Hague personalising cheques for each client using advanced software.
Hague also intends to build on its work in the educational sector, offering security print to colleges and schools throughout Africa.
Walker said: “Our success in Tanzania is very comforting and we see no reason why it won’t be replicated in Uganda.
“Our education-based security-print offering has been a success in Australia and New Zealand, along with the UK and Canada. We now intend to take the same recipe to East Africa.”
Hague’s Cardiff office manager, Richard Morgan, said: “We are very positive about 2015 and look forward to continued growth creating more employment opportunities within the UK.”
