GPMU deputy general secretary Tony Burke has welcomed the governments new employment bill, particularly changes that mean firms must exhaust all internal procedures to deal with staff grievances.
But he said the use of the word "employee" rather than "worker", as laid out in an EU directive would "discriminate against agency workers and causal workers".
