Goodman Baylis administrators confirm job losses but hunt for buyer continues

Administrators for Goodman Baylis have said that it is "too early to say" whether a buyer will be found for the Worcester-based company, but confirmed that most staff have been made redundant.

Administrators Freddy Khalastchi and Michaela Hall of Harris Lipman were appointed on Friday following the collapse of the company due to unsustainable sales, in the wake of HS Printers' acquisition in September.

Of the 120 staff employed at the site, a skeleton staff has been kept on to complete the work in progress.

Freddy Khalastchi said: "It is always unfortunate when a company goes into administration but the current economic climate is having a severe impact on many businesses.

"However, we are open to offers and hope to find a buyer for the business."

News on the fate of sister company Borcombe SP is expected today.
